1Identity and seller verification
Sellers can apply for a verified profile. This is how it works:
- The applicant uploads an ID and, for businesses, business documents. Our team reviews them and marks the profile verified or rejected.
- Documents are stored privately. Only administrators can open them, and only through links that expire after a few minutes.
- Verification status is shown on the profile, so buyers can see who has been checked.
2Payments, escrow and payouts
- Payments are taken by established processors (Stripe, Razorpay and PayPal). Card details go to them directly and are not stored on our servers.
- Gig orders are held in escrow until the buyer confirms delivery or a dispute is settled. Project milestones are paid from the client’s wallet when the client approves them.
- Every movement of money, such as top-ups, purchases, milestone payments, refunds and payouts, is recorded as a transaction in a ledger that both the user and administrators can review.
- Seller payouts are reviewed and approved by our team before they are sent.
- Orders are screened by automated risk checks. Suspicious orders are flagged for review.
3Taxes and invoices
- Tax is calculated from rules set per country and shown at checkout before you pay.
- Business customers can enter a tax ID where the rules allow an exemption, and it appears on their invoice.
- Receipts and PDF invoices show the tax charged, and show the platform’s tax ID once it is configured.
- Sellers are responsible for reporting their own income and taxes.
4Data protection
- You can download your data and delete your account yourself, in Account Settings → Privacy.
- Personal data is kept only as long as needed. Our retention schedule is published in the Privacy Policy and enforced by an automated job every night.
- Analytics is optional and starts only after consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
5Licensing and intellectual property
- Each digital product is sold with a license (regular or extended) that states what you may do with it.
- License keys can be tied to specific domains and checked through our license verification service, and an administrator can suspend a key that is misused.
- If you believe a listing infringes your rights, tell us through the contact page with the listing link and what you own. We review reports and can remove listings.
6Dispute resolution
- A buyer or seller can open a dispute from an order or contract. The funds involved are frozen while it is open.
- Our team reviews messages, deliverables, tasks and tracked time, and either refunds the buyer or releases the money to the seller.
- Each dispute keeps a record of who raised it, the evidence, the decision and who made it.
7Platform integrity and security
- Administrator actions are recorded in an audit log.
- Access is role-based, so users see only their own orders, contracts, tasks and messages.
- Sign-ins use expiring sessions and rate limits, with email verification codes as a second step.
- Fake or manipulated reviews, fake sign-ups and abuse of promotions are against our Terms and lead to account action.
8Reporting a concern
To report a safety concern, a suspected fraud, an infringing listing or a privacy request, use the contact page and tell us what happened. Include order or contract numbers where relevant. Signed-in users can also open a support ticket from the dashboard.
