WeaveStacks vs Fiverr
Fiverr made fixed-price "gigs" mainstream and covers almost every kind of service. WeaveStacks uses the same idea for software, with one difference: the developer’s service sits next to a product you can try first, so you know exactly what you are paying them to install or extend.
| Fiverr | WeaveStacks | |
|---|---|---|
| What you buy | Fixed-price services of every kind | Code products, and fixed-price services from their authors |
| Seller fee | 20% of each order, including tips | 15% on the free plan, 10% on the lowest-fee paid plan. Founding sellers pay 0% for their first 6 months |
| Buyer fee | A service fee of about 5.5% on each order, plus a small-order fee below a threshold | None. Taxes are added where they apply |
| Judging the work | Gig samples, reviews and seller levels | A live demo of the seller’s own product |
| Payment protection | Payment held until the order is completed | Escrow until delivery |
